Did you hear our exciting news? I’m heading to Orlando July 7-9 as a Coverings Partner for Coverings 2021! Coverings is the preeminent ceramic tile and natural stone showcase in North America. Coverings showcases the latest trends, innovations, and products for everything NEW in tile and stone and is attended by distributors, retailers, fabricators, architects, designers and many other industry experts. Over 1,000 exhibitors from around the world come to showcase their tile and stone related products! It’s an incredible event and I’m over the moon to be part of it this year. Our team member, Larson, went to Coverings 2019 and recapped her experience on our blog in an older post.

Before I hit the road to Orlando, I wanted to answer some Q&A about Coverings and share what I’m excited about with y’all!

Do only industry professionals attend Coverings?

No! Anyone can attend Coverings for free! You can head to their website to register for free for the event and learn more.

What are you looking forward to about Coverings?

I'm honestly looking forward to traveling again! I haven’t traveled in a long time, it feels like, due to Covid and being so busy with work and family. I’m excited to be surrounded with likeminded people who love design and appreciate the craft of the artisans and vendors who will be at this show.

What trends to you expect or hope to see with tile and stone?

I really think we are going to see an influx of bold colors and designs straight out of 1970, but then I also think we will see a lot of more of organic, earthy designs.

What trends are you liking personally with tile and stone?

I’m loving the handmade and organic look that is showing up in a lot of tile showrooms. It gives contrast, variation and movement to the tile. It can still be very interesting yet classic.

What do you hope to share as a Coverings partner with your followers? 

Everything! I really just love seeing what these vendors are putting out into the world.  We may not use a lot of it in our projects, but the skill and craftsmanship that goes into making these products is truly amazing; it's such a gift to be able to see it all and then share with our followers.

What’s the importance of tile and stone for design as a professional and as a consumer?

It's important for me, as a designer, to learn all that I can about products that we are recommending to our clients so that I make choices that will compliment not only the look of their home, but their lifestyle as well.  I want to know about the new products that are out there so that I can educate our clients on what might work well for them in their homes.
