Champion Forest Kitchen Remodel
We know y’all love some good ‘before and after’ photos so we thought we would share a fun remodel project we completed earlier in 2020!
This kitchen remodel project was located in the Champion Forest area outside of Houston and we worked with RyNo Services to completely overhaul this dated kitchen. The space definitely needed to be updated and get a major facelift! The homeowners love to entertain and they also have three little ones, so they needed a kitchen that was spacious and maximized the available footprint. They also love to cook so the kitchen needed to be functional as well as pretty! We worked together to come up with a layout that could include an island with seating, large appliances, a new pantry and a wet bar all while encompassing their classic, chic Southern style!
The kitchen had a funky curved wall that served little purpose, so we got creative and built a custom storage cabinet to ditch the curve. The cabinet can house smaller appliances, such as a coffee maker or microwave, and serve as a charging station, drop spot, household organization center and more. We hid the rest of the curved wall in the new, larger pantry.
We demo’d the original wet bar which opened up the space between the kitchen and the living room and replaced all the old windows throughout the kitchen. The new bar area is much larger and functional for entertaining and the new windows allow more light to come in and brighten the space.
The original trim work throughout the home had great character that the homeowners, as well as our team, really loved! We wanted to keep that detail the same and not modernize the kitchen too much, even with new paint, floors, countertops, backsplash, plumbing and appliances. The new trim work throughout the space blended in seamlessly with the original trim detail!
